100 Waterfront Street (New Haven) Facility:

The Waterfront Street facility is located on the east shore of New Haven Harbor. It is bounded by the Magellan terminal to the north, by the property of Public Service Electric and Gas Co. (PSEG) and Motiva terminal’s dock and docklines to the south, by Waterfront Street to the east, and by New Haven harbor to the west. Its strategic location provides direct access to Interstate Highways I-91 and I-95. It is situated 75 miles northeast of New York City, 120 miles southwest of Boston, and 120 miles southeast of Albany. By water, New Haven Terminal is 68 nautical miles from New York Harbor with travel times for ships and barges ranging between 7 to 12 hours.

  • Total land area of the Waterfront Street property is approximately 10 acres
  • Bulk Liquid tank farm occupies approximately 7.8 dedicated acres within secondary containment
  • Approximately 2.2 land acres are jointly utilized, primarily for purposes of truck access through the facility

  • Local pipeline transfer between New Haven Terminal and neighboring facilities

Finger Pier:

  • Approximately 650 feet long by 60 feet wide
  • Extends westward, from shore, into New Haven harbor
  • Advertised draft of 36 feet on south side and 34 feet on north side
  • South side is primary berth
  • Product piping runs eastward to shore, from finger pier manifold areas
  • Product piping consists of 15 docklines, ranging in size from 4 inches to 16 inches in diameter
  • Two 16” diameter pipelines are the supply lines to the East Haven inland terminal
  • Pier can accommodate 2 ships, 2 barges or one ship and one barge concurrently

Biodiesel Fuel Production Plant:

  • 35 million gallon per year capacity biodiesel fuel plant owned/operated by American Greenfuels on two acres of leased land

Tank Farm:

  • Land area of approximately 7.8 acres
  • Twenty-two (22)above-ground storage tanks within secondary containment
  • Tanks range in size from 4,886 bbls to 119,424 bbls, totaling 765,605 bbls
  • Waterfront Street tank farm is connected to the East Haven inland tank farm via two (2) sixteen inch diameter lines, each just under one mile in length
  • The 16” diameter lines are used for two-way product transfer between inland and waterfront tank farms and to/from finger pier
  • Waterfront Street tank farm has direct access to the Buckeye Pipeline
  • Direct transfer access, via local, private pipelines to the following New Haven harbor terminal facilities: Magellan, Gateway, Gulf.
  • Ten (10) truck loading rack positions
  • Product blending
